Take the time to pick up the pace.

Rinus Willemsen

Coach / Second track programme counselor / TMA talent professional

Just started as a police supervisor, I was allowed to set up a new department. I was then given a few uniformed police officers who they did not really know what to do with. “Here they are, Rinus, make the most of them and good luck!” In no time, I had to ensure that these colleagues became competent to start in my field of information management. In good mutual interaction, this was more than successful, although the word “coach” only existed in the sports world at the time.

After many years of reorganisations, sometimes tough files and difficult projects, my energy and motivation started to run out. I worked hard, but saw little result. I was then made to think of the early days when I invested a lot in my co-workers. Attention fostered their professional growth and they were given a challenging perspective again. You really saw results!

In 2021, I therefore decided to invest more in the human side again and to put my wealth of experience to good use. In addition to my background as an occupational and organizational psychologist, I have completed training as a coach and career coach. The great thing about these courses is that you are confronted with yourself and also have to work hard on yourself. For me, this involved, among other things, balancing advice on the one hand and supervising the coachee’s process on the other.

After these training courses, I started as an internal coach and talent management professional with the police. The positive experiences I had in the meantime with supervising colleagues inspired and motivated me enormously to take the step out with the establishment of my own coaching practice. With the importance that work has for many people, I sincerely grant everyone work and a working environment that suits their talents. This also makes the chance of work happiness a lot greater and the occurrence of burnout or boreout a lot smaller. I see it as a privilege to be able to make a positive contribution to this. Indeed positive, because my approach is based on positive psychology: that which is possible is central, not so much the deficits or that which hinders.

What mainly motivates me, especially when you are involuntarily out of work, is to get you enthusiastic about picking up the thread again and developing your talents. To take the next steps forward and show what you are worth. If you work with me, you will meet an engaged, calm, empathetic and at the same time results-oriented coach. To put it expressively: take the time together to set the pace. Slow down where you need to, speed up where you can. With a focus on the objective to be achieved.

That is why my collaboration with Dynamisch Bureau is also obvious: a strong brand in reintegration services and coaching with committed, professional coaches who ensure great results for both coachees and clients.

Finally, as a nature lover, hobby farmer and beekeeper, I know the refreshing and activating effect of being outdoors. Exactly the idea behind walking coaching. So if you feel like it, we can also have outdoor coaching conversations.

If my profile appeals to you, I look forward to our introduction with warm interest.
