“Of course you can work on yourself, but you never get a square peg in a round hole. Stop hurting yourself in this way.”
Raoul Oostra

I worked as a job coach and job course innovator at a reintegration company when I knew at one point: I don’t want to go any further here. I had lost my inspiration and self-confidence. In addition, I also found my private life no longer inspiring because of the Covid measures. Browsing the internet I found Dynamisch Bureau. This seemed to me to be the best match for my outplacement, given their vision and the type of coaches I saw on the team.

The counselling at Dynamisch Bureau gave me the opportunity to close a chapter and start a new one. I was eager to get out of the negative spiral! This succeeded because of the peace and space to look at my own situation with a coach who facilitated this excellently. I abandoned a situation that I saw as a failure. I let go of sadness and negative feelings, leaving room for something new.

My life is totally different now. I found a nice job within the process as Team Leader Catering where I am managing employees with an occupational disability.

My employer appreciates me and approaches me with confidence. Within my position I have a great degree of independence and the opportunity to realise substance for my own vision and way of working. We work with vulnerable people and try to support them in their professional development. I am exactly the right man for the right issues that arise there. In my private life, a lot of positive change is noticeable, I am very happy and satisfied with myself and my environment.

Sometimes, like me, one feels undervalued, not understood, or misunderstood. This may be due to corporate culture, management or other causes. It is important to understand that you are working in the wrong role at the wrong company in that case. It might be a good place for someone else, but not for you. Of course you can work on yourself, but you never get a square peg in a round hole. Stop violating yourself in this way before you lose your inspiration and self-confidence. When one lingers in such a situation for too long, it becomes increasingly difficult to honour inspiration and faith in oneself. What I have learned at Dynamisch Bureau is from now on my benchmark in my professional life.
