Being good at who you are.

Coach / Second track programme counseler / TMA talent professional

Before becoming a professional coach, I gained a wealth of work and life experience. This helps me every day in my work as a coach. I have worked as a technician, project manager, supervisor and manager. From these positions, I learned to empathize with people’s development, both professionally and personally.

I enjoyed guiding and coaching employees so much that I decided to start working as a coach around 2004. I quickly saw what coachees were struggling with, but lacked some tools in my backpack to address all the issues.

I took some great coaching courses, a bachelor’s degree to become a Psycho Social Therapist, Voice Dialogue (method to guide people in getting to know their inner drives and motives better), systemic work and Transactional Analysis (theory of personality, communication and change).

My approach is not only knowledge-based, but above all practical and focused on results. But with warmth and understanding. Indeed, I recognize much of what each one is going through. I feel strongly about what motivates people: ‘Why do you do what you do?’ With many personal issues, it is important to research this. ln doing so, we also look at your biography. What things have you taught yourself that were once very important, but are now getting in your way?

“Being good at who you are” is a saying close to my heart. This quote is not mine but Karin Brugman’s. I am happy to borrow this quote. It says in a few words what it is all about: staying true to yourself, being who you are. It doesn’t happen all at once, it happens little by little. It is important to work on this, for example if you are looking for another job or feeling stuck.

Dynamisch Bureau came my way and immediately appealed to me: the personal approach, the versatility of the work, as well as being able to work with colleagues. Coach can be a lonely profession. At Dynamisch Bureau, it is nice to be able to consult with colleagues and learn from each other. “Live your talent” is what we stand for. The above statement fits perfectly with that. As a coach, I like to walk with you for a while and help you be good at who you are!
