I was infected with the corona virus in early March 2020. After a very heavy illness of several weeks with high fever and many other symptoms, I got back on my feet. Unfortunately, I developed all kinds of strange complaints soon after, which turned out to be long covid. Despite all these various complaints and countless relapses, I still tried several times to return to my job as a senior sales coordinator. 

I attended various therapies during this time, including with an occupational therapist, psychologist, physiotherapist, homeopath, acupuncturist, orthomolecular therapist, holistic therapist, equine therapy coach and a craniosacral therapist. Despite all my efforts, I still ended up in the Work and Income Act (WIA), i.e. capacity for work. For example, I was still suffering from ‘brain fog’. With brain fog, you feel unclear, drowsy and forgetful. I also had trouble concentrating.

At the UWV, I then learned about various agencies to choose from to follow a reintegration course. On the Dynamisch Bureau website, I read about neurotraining. Even then, I was hopeful that my brain complaints could be reduced through this training. I was able to combine this with coaching from a coach I immediately clicked with. The choice for Dynamisch Bureau was then quickly made.

The neurotraining started with a zero-measurement of my brain activity, where a reduced activity was observed. I then did the training for 30 minutes 2 or 3 times a week for more than 20 weeks and soon noticed improvement. I was less affected by the brain fog.

I also noticed that I could concentrate better and better and had more focus. I was also less affected by external stimuli, such as noise and light. Even right now after completing the training, I notice a lasting improvement in these areas.  

My quality of life has definitely improved by this training and I can now do more activities in a day than before the training. During the day, for example, I also no longer need to sleep as long and I get through the day much better now. I would definitely advise others to take this training. Although I still have complaints, I look forward to a positive future!
