Dynamisch Bureau is a specialist in the field of neurodiversity.
Neurodiversity means that there are differences between people’s brains. This is reflected in behaviour, thinking, and learning. We offer guidance for example with autism, ADHD, high sensitivity, and giftedness. Our coaching often focuses on dealing with challenges and/or limitations. We combine this with neurotraining, which helps individuals improve their concentration and alertness. This leads to a calmer mind, better focus, and improved sensory processing.
Reducing symptoms is one thing. We believe it is just as important to focus on the talents of people with unique brains. Coachees have so often been told—and have experienced—where they fall short, without being aware of their unique strengths.
Our vision aligns well with the World Health Organization’s definition of health: ‘A state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.’ In other words, having a positive impact.
Below, we share examples of talents that may be found in individuals with autism or ADHD
Possible talents in autism (ASD)
A strikingly common talent in autism is the ability to observe and remember details. People with autism also often think in patterns. This can lead to excellence in fields such as mathematics, science, art, and music. They also tend to score high on autonomous thinking—they are less inclined to conform and prefer independent thought and action. This often brings fresh perspectives within an organisation.
In addition, people with autism often have strong focus and perseverance. They are capable of delving deeply into subjects or projects and are determined to understand them thoroughly. This makes them excellent researchers and experts in their field.
Potential talents in ADHD (types 1 and 3)
The way the brain functions in ADHD types 1 and 3 means the mind is never at rest. This is referred to as predominantly inattentive. People with these types of ADHD often experience a constant flow of thoughts and ideas that are always in motion. These thoughts can form unexpected and original connections between different concepts, leading to new creative insights. When something truly captures their interest, they can enter a state of hyperfocus. This can result in impressive achievements, such as completing complex projects or reaching challenging goals.
Potential talents in ADHD type 2
In ADHD type 2, hyperactivity and impulsivity are predominant. This brings the ability to respond quickly. In certain professions, such as crisis management, these traits are invaluable. People with this type of ADHD also have remarkable energy and won’t stop until the (demanding) job is done.
