According to the dictionary, ‘dynamic’ means ‘constantly in motion’. On 5 October 2023, Dynamisch Bureau celebrates 18 years—and much has changed over time. The agency started out with two partners, including Maaike Pronk, and has since grown into a team of over 40 coaches across the provinces of Zuid-Holland, Noord-Holland, Flevoland, and Utrecht.
“Growth is incredibly rewarding,” says Maaike Pronk, “but for me, it’s not a goal in itself. Personal contact with coaches and coachees, and enjoyment in our work—those are the key pillars at Dynamisch Bureau. As we grew, I noticed that these core values were starting to get a bit lost in the process. After the departure of our operations director Monica Scheffer, I chose to bring in Agnes Oosterveen as co-director. With Agnes, we’ve gained not just extra capacity, but also new expertise. With a fresh perspective, we’ve reviewed our business processes, introduced neurotraining, and developed a training programme for our coaches. That’s how 1 + 1 became 3.”
Agnes: “Maaike and I have known each other for 30 years, and we’re both entrepreneurs at heart. The overlap between our two businesses sparked the idea for our collaboration. Together with colleagues, I developed neurotraining to strengthen cognitive functions. This approach is evidence-based and supports people dealing with concentration issues, chronic fatigue, burnout, prolonged stress, as well as those with AD(H)D and/or autism. Our first step was to introduce this neurotraining at Dynamisch Bureau, enabling coaches to use this innovative tool in their coaching programmes. After that, Maaike and I focused on optimising our business processes. Working together always brings new ideas. For me, that’s a key value of our partnership—having someone to share thoughts with and to strengthen one another. Through this collaboration, I’ve also gained many wonderful new colleagues. The atmosphere in our team is fantastic.”
Many people know Agnes from the training centre Ik leer anders, a learning method designed for students with a different learning style. Together with the Brainmarker Neuro-Academy, these centres are now being merged into the Dynamisch Opleidingscentrum. This allows both Dynamisch Bureau and the Dynamisch Opleidingscentrum to support individuals and groups in discovering and developing their talents—with two experienced captains at the helm.
Agnes: “Having developed educational materials for over 15 years, the idea naturally arose to create a training programme with exams for the coaches affiliated with us. This also provides an opportunity to (re)train coaches in a tight labour market. In doing so, we’re creating a kind of Dynamisch Bureau quality seal. It ensures that all our coaches continue to meet the high standards that Dynamisch Bureau is known for—as one of the top-performing agencies in the region.”
Maaike concludes: “I’m convinced that bringing Agnes on board marks a wonderful new step in our professional development. And it’s a step that also allows both of us to keep doing what we stand for: living our talents—with a good dose of joy in our work!”
