What is cognitive training?

With cognitive training you improve your concentration or learn to relax better. At Dynamisch Bureau you get home equipment so that you can train frequently in your own environment. With an optimal training result as a result.

How does cognitive training work?

You can compare cognitive training to a sports watch. When you run, your heart rate is high. If you slow down, your heart rate will be lower. During the training you also look at your own body values.

When your brain state goes in the right direction (for example with concentration/focus), you get a large video image. The band on your head measures your brain state and passes it on to the equipment. When your brain state goes in the “wrong” direction (for example if you can’t concentrate) you get black bars around your image.

When you have a clearly visible video image, you feel happy. You will notice that it becomes easier and easier to keep the screen large and open. Your brain will increasingly evoke this right state to make you happy, even when you are not training!

Compare it to learning to ride a bike. You have no idea how to learn to ride a bike. You need to tighten your muscles, maintain balance, assess depth, etc. A child eventually learns to ride a bike without falling and thinks: “Yoo-hoo I’m cycling!!” Your brain knows that you are happy and fixes this state. You don’t forget how to ride a bike either. We call this operant conditioning.

The cognitive training works the same as learning to ride a bike and is risk-free.

We work with home equipment, which makes frequent training possible. The training can be used as a separate program or as part of your (reintegration) program.

What can you achieve with cognitive training:

• Improve concentration / alertness
• Improving the energetic balance
• Improving stimulus processing
• More relaxation

Our cognitive training is suitable for people with stress/burnout, fatigue, AD(H)D, Long-COVID, ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) or high sensitivity. We do not make a diagnosis. The training is only used to reduce the above complaints.

Outcome: 26-56% (improvement measured by qualitative questionnaires)

Participants experienced an improvement of 26 to 56%. See the diagram below.
