December — the perfect month to reflect on the past year and acknowledge the successes you’ve achieved. After several intense years, I can look back on a truly wonderful 2017, both personally and professionally. My new partner, my two sons, and I have grown even closer as a family this year. Dynamisch Bureau has once again partnered with the UWV, which has led to many new coaching programs and created work for new team members.
Many of the people we’ve supported have found new jobs. One of them is Sandra Korenblom. If you’ve been following me for a while, you might remember that we put her ‘in the spotlight’ and helped her find a work experience placement. You can read about her experience with Dynamisch Bureau here.
How was your year? Do you have something to celebrate? If you’d like to take a moment to reflect more deeply on your successes, here are a few tips to help you do just that.
Write your own year-end speech
An acquaintance of mine writes a year-end speech every year — just for herself. Alongside looking ahead to the new year, she takes time to celebrate her achievements and joyful experiences. I thought it was a great idea and decided to give it a try myself. How about you?
Problems are part of success
A life without problems or challenges doesn’t exist. In my view, they make life more interesting. What truly matters is how you deal with them. Do you let them defeat you, or do you rise to the challenge? I see problems as opportunities to learn. I find great satisfaction in having overcome major obstacles — like the intense years I mentioned earlier.
Celebrate with each other
There are teams where “celebrating successes” is a regular item on the agenda.
And even at home, around the dinner table in the evening, you can celebrate the day’s successes together with your family. Guaranteed to lift the mood! 😉
