Margriet Wolters: "This new path gives me so much energy. When I’m massaging now, I feel so grateful and happy!"

“I had been at home for a year due to illness when my employer, a non-profit organization, referred me to Dynamisch Bureau for a second-track reintegration program. Before I became ill, I worked as an HR manager, but I developed a burnout and depression. My body was exhausted and ‘out of control’ at the same time. I felt gloomy and emotional. Even a simple activity like taking a shower drained me of energy. I had also lost interest in activities that normally helped me relax. Where I would usually walk 10 kilometers with ease, I could now barely manage 1,000 meters.

During my initial meeting with my coach, it became clear that I wasn’t ready to start the reintegration program yet and needed to focus on recovery first. I fully agreed with this assessment. My coach advised my employer accordingly, and I only started the program at Dynamisch Bureau months later.
The guidance was excellent. My coach gave me all the time I needed to express the emotions I felt regarding my work. Only after I had processed some of my emotions and frustrations did we start working on the practical aspects of reintegration.”

My coach provided me with very practical tips to better care for myself, such as energy management, and helped me gain insights into my talents and the highlights of my life that I’m proud of. The biggest eye-opener for me was the ‘miracle question.’ My coach asked me to describe in detail what my situation would look like if my problems were suddenly resolved by a miracle.

While I was already well on my way to fully reintegrating into my old role as an HR manager, the miracle question continued to resonate with me. Combined with networking efforts, I gradually gained a clearer picture of what I truly wanted for my professional future. The beautiful part was that everything fell into place when I realized this vision aligned perfectly with the results of my TMA Talent Analysis.

In the end, I knew what I wanted: to work as a massage therapist and coach. On October 5, 2020, I officially started my own business: Massage & Coaching Wassenaar. I’ve already treated my first clients and received such enthusiastic feedback that it strengthens my resolve to fully commit to this path.

I’m incredibly happy with the choice I’ve made and with Dynamisch Bureau’s role in this journey. Although opening my practice is still very recent, and entrepreneurship feels new and exciting, massaging and coaching feel as natural as a second skin to me. It perfectly aligns with my vision of health and wellness, as well as my passion for helping people achieve relaxation and vitality for both body and mind. With my background as a psychologist and HR professional, I’m used to coaching people, and after completing a thorough massage training, I now offer an accessible, unique approach that works.

I feel happy, cheerful, and energized again. The cycle of fatigue, stress, and burnout has been broken. This new path gives me so much energy. When I’m massaging now, I feel so incredibly grateful!”
