Erik van Egmond: "As a result of an industrial accident, I suffered an Acquired Brain Injury. The positive influence of the neurotraining on my symptoms is enormous."

“I came into contact with Dynamisch Bureau through the UWV for neurotraining. Due to an industrial accident, I suffered Acquired Brain Injury and I fell from working 60 hours a week to not working anymore. I can no longer take good care of myself and I have a hard time dealing with stimuli. I still have a long way to go, but I hope to become self-reliant again in the long run.
Previously, I have followed occupational therapy which had little to no effect. When I really couldn’t do anything anymore, I went into a recovery program. I was there for 2 weeks for neurotraining and psychological counseling. I benefited from the neurotraining and came back regularly for more training for the next 2 years.
I was pleasantly surprised when my UWV contact person mentioned the possibility of following neurotraining through Dynamisch Bureau. I was happy to oblige. Through Dynamisch Bureau you do the training at home, which saves a lot of stimuli because you don’t have to travel. The ideal solution for me!
The positive influence of the neurotraining on my symptoms is enormous, I have fairly good speech again during the treatments. Earlier, my speech would drop out during the day. I also had a lot of trouble processing information. Now it’s a lot better.
I can partly save myself again, unfortunately a normal life is not yet in the cards. But I can walk again, take care of myself and take care of my food, which I couldn’t before.
I would advise anyone who suffers a severe concussion to contact a doctor immediately and get plenty of rest. And in case of insufficient recovery, also have neurological examinations done and start preventive neurotraining. I can heartily recommend the training via Dynamisch Bureau. You only have 1 set of brains. Be careful with it and don’t think too lightly about brain damage. Listen carefully to your body!”
